for some reason i just wished my sts-v was a little faster after driving my brothers 2011 cts-v and this is what i got to after a small discussion with a few friends....
what would i need to make a cts-v killer out of my 2008 sts-v
crazy right!? so go ahead and throw those ideas @ me
Money, lots and lots of money. I would think a total engine build would be in order among other things. Are you wanting to take down a stock CTS-V or a 600+ RWHP monster?
Weren't there more replies on here yesterday? I don't recall anything offensive posted there so why are they missing today?
Drop an LS9 crate motor into the car.

You have a 120+ci and 300lbs disadvantage to the CTS-V. It would be cheaper to trade in the STS-V for the CTS-V honestly.

Your right Bob. but to own a CTSV size wise is like a Mini Copper. :)

CTS-V is smaller, but not that much smaller. In a horsepower war we STS-V owners will still end up on the loosing end of things. We may be able to bore the engine out to 4.6L and get a few more liters with a custom made stroker crank, but we will never be able to keep up with the SBC in the long run. You can bore and stoke to 427ci or more and so on. I bought my STS-V knowing that stock the car is pretty much maxed out for power. I just wanted the better, more luxurious interior and ride in trade for all out power.
