I started to notice an intermittent stumble, lag on initial accleration (throttle tip-in) in 6th gear 2 weeks ago. Now it has occurred in at least one other gear, here's some maintainence history:

2005, 3.6L 6 speed, 78k miles

-Replaced under warranty at 49,700 miles: Timing chains, clutch and shift linkage bushings, driveshaft

-Cadillac serviced at 71k, Fuel injector system cleaned due to 2,4,6 misfire.
replaced by self, air filter

Next steps i'm considering - flush diff, trans. fluid., have dealer re-check for misfire(s).

Any suggestions?

I'm having a similar issue with my 2005 CTS, 3.6. I had a misfire on cylinder 2, changed all plugs and cleared codes. The engine runs great under load but stumbles intermittently at idle and has no fault codes. I can't hear any whistling or sucking noises as if the intake manifold were leaking BUT since the problem occurred after having to remove it I have to assume it's that or a vacuum line. What all should I check before taking it to a shop?

I cleaned the MAF sensor as mentioned above....problem solved.
