Thanks Sandman, the problem is my computer is constantly logging out on me still, and makes me log in every time I post! But I played with trying to put my pics up last night, and I cannot find a "browse" option (at the gallery) for my pics on disc. (like the avatar section-boy that would be easy if only my pics were smaller!)

I won't bother, it is just a shame that no one gets to see the cleanest engine on the planet. :D

She'll be getting gloss-red flames on the hood and down both sides. But the black needs some fixing and touching up, it was rattle-canned krylon.

I dont mind the idea of the satin black, but rattle can paint on a fleetwood, a 96 at that, I dont know what to say other than you should get it painted by a professional, that color will wash off eventually, but dont get me wrong the idea is cool.

Peter Stengel is a Hollywood designer. His offices are [were?] located at 8610 Sherwood Drive, Los Angeles. He specializes[ed] in custom Coach work on Cadillac, Lincoln and Rolls-Royce chassis, that was made to order in London, England, by artisan craftsmen and journeymen specialist coach builders. This town-car design was used for promotional purposes; on the back of the color postcard, presumably printed in 1966, it was stated: Over one-quarter century of experience and studious application in automotive aesthetics; the integration of unsurpassed quality, exquisite craftsmanship, embodying correct and superior design. I use to have one about 7 years ago and one transmission shop I had my trany fixed at, messed up my sunroof and it was never the same... I had to get rid of it. But last summer I found another one, without sunroof(which I don't mind) I love it! As soon as I'll save up some money - better tint job, new 17 in rims (100 spokes, chrome, possible spinners) and a hydraulics going into this baby :yup: ... (Baby is it's nick name, btw :) )
Oh yea - and all spickers get replaced(got a nice Exploid stereo, amp and a sub already)

That Momo steering wheel looked really silly to me in a Cadillac...Just my opinion though.

speedyman, your caddy looks clean - mine's the same thing but white diamond in color - I think that the 98+ STS and 00+ Deville's have the cleanest, classiest look of any Cadillac ever put out.

Those are 20's. I'm trying to get those in 22's but I have to go in a lower ratio sized tire. I'm gonna try to post pics of the first set of 20's I have to see if anybody thinks the first set looks better.

I've moved the shots to the Picture Gallery. Over the weekend I gave the Eldo a bath, then did the Klasse All In One over damn near every exposed square inch of her. Monday was the first coat of SuperGlaze, then I put another quick on one today. If the weather holds, I'll wait a day or so and then put on the first layer of P21S.

In San Diego, CA. I was driving around last night looking for a place to take photos. I found this strip of road that was blocked off. They're in the process of 4 laning it. But, it's still closed off.

Very nice looking auto, Speedo - what do you use on it in terms of polish, wax, etc?

I use a product called Dry Wash 'N Guard. While they claim it's a "waterless" carwash, I prefer to wash it first. I have some leftover from when I detailed with it. Once I run out, I think I'm gonna order some Zaino.

I have a 1998 caddy deville and it came with an E&G Classic Grille. The big problem I'm having is there are these plastic filler pieces that bolt onto the side of the grille. These pieces fill in the space between the headlight and the grille itself. One bolts to the right side of the grill and one bolts onto the left side of the grill, and these pieces fill in the space between the grill itself and the headlight. These are plastic pieces and know one seems to know what I'm talking about. And those that do know what I'm talking about can't seem to tell me where I can get them from. If memory serves me, aren't the insurance based on the displacement of the engine? At 5.7L I can only imagine $$. Also, your 'lade must look like a bus on those small roads.

The stealership had an identical Brougham to mine when I went to look, but it was a 5.0 and the body was a little rough. I figured better body and a 350 was worth the investment, especially for $1000 less. I'm upgrading the seating this coming summer on my return to the states, maybe we'll have a d'Elegance then! I really like the DeVille Chad, that's a sharp looking car. Reminds me of Ralph's Fleetwood.

What do they call that color? I love it. It was the same color as the first 1993 Sedan deVille I drove. That color exterior with a beige leather interior and a half vinyl roof.

How is that Lexus in comparison to your Brougham?

Imagine a 20-foot Bayliner and the Queen Mary for comparison. Well, mostly. The Lexus is so damned solid and high-quality feeling, and it's a rocketsled compared to the Brougham. It handles like a Vette compared to the Brougham, and I drive it like one. It's smaller though, much smaller. And the two engines are completely different. The Lexus won't lay a patch 40 feet long but it'll jump from 70 to 140 like a rabbit. The Brougham, well, she'll never do much past about 105 and it'll take days to get there, but she's snappier off-idle. The Lexus is dead-silent compared to the Brougham, you can actually hear the V8 in the Brougham when you stomp it. All you hear in the Lexus is silence.

If I had to chose, I'd stick with the Brougham because I love the floaty ride, the 350, and the massive size. But for a daily driver, the Lexus would come first, because of the impeccable maintenance record. My dad's first Lexus we had for 6 years, only put brakes and tires into it. This one, same thing. Nothing ever goes wrong! It's nuts! I broke the power antenna on this one, but that was my fault.

Damn....neat stuff. The Brougham is a car with a soul and a personality. The LS400 lacks both IMO. But its still a very nice car, but much more advanced and modern than the Brougham.

It's a tough choice for me though. The Lexus has an amazing paint job. The color is called "midnight jade" or something like that, it looks black until light hits it and then it just glows dark green! This one is a '94, but my dad's first was a '91, with some really sharp looking AR wheels too, different than these. It was dark red. It had the Nakamichi premium sound system which was better than the premium sound system in this one. This one sits up a little higher, the '91 was closer to the ground and you felt it when you sat down.

The '91 was really slick though, it had adjustable shocks, where you either picked normal or high. When you went above 85 it dropped down. The suspension went between firm or normal, and the engine went between power and normal, all at the touch of a rocker switch. It was really a neat set of features. The '94, well, you can only switch between power and normal engine operation, but all it really seems to do is change the shift points. The handling never seems to change.

The '91 just felt faster and sleeker. I dunno, the '94 is a very nice car, but that '91 was just all-around the better vehicle. I hate to admit it, but my dad offered it to me when he was thinking of selling it. I was too proud; said I hadn't earned it, and that I wanted to stick with my '85 Parisienne. Maybe I did the right thing, maybe I didn't, but either way, the '85 was donated to a technical school, and the '91 is still driving around town, looking sharp as ever. We sold it with 233,xxx on the clock, and that was 3 or 4 years ago!
