Looks good. Once you get the clear fogs it will look even better.

i think it looks better with the yellow turn signal on the black car. at least on the front. it looks mean when seen in the rear view mirror.

Looks good. That is a funky angle on the first pic. Kinda makes it look like the front wheel and tire is larger than the rear.

Keep the amber lights. I never understood way people remove them. Looks good otherwise.

Looks great...I would get rid of the amber lights. Then it will be perfect!

Its on jacks. But I can't figure out how to get the fogligjt assembly past the light adjuster/angler thing. Do I just come all the way out with that screw?

Just have to remove the 3 screws from the bumper and the whole thing should come out. Once out of the car you cant just slide the foglight off the housing

I like clear fogs as well (I have them on my Raven V), but I also don't mind the orange on a blacked out V. My V still has the chrome grill and chrome stockers on it so I think a little doesn't hurt. I don't know if you've seen Chef's old car, but I think the orange on his V looked like it belonged there. His V was all blacked out like yours as well.

To me the orange looks GREAT on his car...http://i387.photobucket.com/albums/oo319/cass486/26966_863280756343_6202070_46920932.jpg

ight fine... tinted stockers look good on a black V.. STOCK amber/clear still sucks.tho. it just looks out of place when you do so many other vizual mods.. i.e. Blacked out wheels/Grill...

its your car there are plenty of examples on this site of what route you could go...

but DRLs are still gey in my book

Are chefs clear lenses on the bottom tinted?

wcryan
05-11-10, 07:40 PM
Oh. And I still don't understand how to get the fog lights out. Take the screw out of the bumper and take the adjuster screw all the way out too?

shadybx7

yea his fogs were tinted with a lil black paint and a lot of clear or VHT niteshades which is removable with googone i believe... ok so first turn your wheel lock right.. pop out the plastic rivets in the wheel well... do this for both sides... now drive the v up on ramps.. drop the under-body plastic panel.. now since the plastic wheel wells are lose you can pop the brake air ducts out... now remove the screws from the fog surround on the exterior of the bumper
once you get in there its really easy... did you get in there yet??
here are some pics at the end of this thread:
http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/2004-2007-cadillac-cts-v-appearance/166777-pics-smoked-fogs.html

don't screw around with the adjuster screw unless you wanna make more work for yourself later

http://i549.photobucket.com/albums/ii384/shadybx7/smoked%20fogs/DSCF4881.jpg
so there is one screw at the top of the black housing near the lense.. two under the bumper...

deff need to black out the side markers and tint the fogs... VHT your stockers... cheap n easy

I was just trying to take the lenses out. Not the whole housing. Am I doing it wrong?

The lenses are glued onto the housing. You need to take the whole light out. Remove the skirts inside the wheel wells to get to them. It's pretty easy.

Yeah that's what I'm doing. I took the bulbs out disconnected the wires and the only problem I'm having is with the adjusting screw. I can leave the bracket in right? I'm at work for two more days. I'll look into it more when I get home

Are you trying to bake the lenses out? Just click that link Shady put up there. Pictures from my install are in that thread as well. It's really easy.

Oh and that 09 cobalt ss TC in the corner of that second pic. I call it the V eater... it at least puts my V to shame by a car length. I was very suprised when I raced my brother, the owner.

cobalts are fast because they are so easy and cheap to make fast. whether they are fast or not, they are still cobalts.

I know WAYYYY too many chicks that drive cobalts. Not the SS obviously, but it still makes it very difficult to buy one.

dont get me wrong, cobalt SS is pretty decent car. And fast. But it's no CTS-V.

And the regular cobalt is actually a very good car for teenagers. Good agility, good gas mileage, decent performance, and an arguably attractive exterior.

so it has a down pipe, tune, full exhaust... the GM bolt ons are pretty awesome for the LNF.. very cool motor.. its not stock . any vids.

when i was stock i would walk my buddy's 09'SSTC... from a dig or on the highway doesn't matter.. they are quick and get 31mpg but if its stock and beating you... fail....
