ZX_man 08-25-04, 02:22 PM electric hcvone 08-25-04, 02:26 PM Electric (I would not use gas, some vent their exhaust through the blower), Toro brand, best price was Home Depot Sandy 08-25-04, 05:58 PM Electric. Sears Brand. Now 20 years old & working like brand new ! I love it ! MEJIA 08-26-04, 01:50 PM Electric. Pifemaster 08-26-04, 02:08 PM GAS- Several years ago I was the GM for an outdoor power equipment company. One of the products we sold were ECHO leaf blowers. I use a "BackPack" type leaf blower and the performace is incredible. Here is a link to the model: http://www.echo-usa.com/prods_item.asp?Model=PB-650&Category=POWERBLOWER Be careful when you compare specs on blowers (MPH & Air Volume). There is no industry standard/regulation on how to test for air speed and air volume. Because of this, many manufactures (Sears in particular) manipulate the tests to make their blowers appear more powerful than they are. I have been using backpack leaf blowers to dry vehicles for about 12 years now and would never want to be without one. Bob Redgiem 08-27-04, 12:09 AM electric.. Elvis 08-27-04, 01:59 PM Definitely electric over gas. The gas blowers just don't seem to be as powerful for the same amount of money. I'm loyal to Toro when it comes to drying cars. | |
