Folks,
I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with any Cadillac dealers here in the Melbourne, FL area.
I'd like to go in and ask them to fully update all of the firmware in my vehicle, but I'm not sure they'll do that unless I'm presenting them with a symptom.
Can I assume that they'll update everything if I tell them that the shifting seems to be sluggish? Or are there some other keywords that I should drop on them?
Any other critical TSB's that I should ensure are complied with?
Tim, Great town. I was borne and raised in Melbourne. just there two weeks ago. I think you only have two choices. Merritt Island or Melbourne on the River by Rathman chevrolet. Havent dealt with either directly but my brother owns a body shop on the island and has dealt with the shop a little. Seem to be friendly. Make friends with your advisor and all you can do is ask.
I use Mike Erdman Cadillac in Merritt Island,Billy is my service advisor and RJ works on my car (he has a CTS-V 1) They installed my exhaust, wheels tires etc and some other stuff I always tip for my appreciation.Try them out.
That's a great recommendation - thank you for that!
So I take it that you've had good experiences there so far? Have you had any issues with them not knowing what they were doing? Are they the types of guys that I can be honest about what I want done, i.e. updating my TCM/ECM/Nav or do they tend to balk at that like you find at some service departments?
When you make an appointment, do you specifically ask for Billy?
I'm late to the party, but I'd go to Erdman in MI also. They run all their V series through RJ, and he was really knowledgeable.
I'm from Rockledge, and moved up to Richmond-Erdman was a ton better than what I am getting here, at the very least. Give them a shot-
