GOOD NEWS is I got a brand new 3rd gen diff installed part #25873498 for free under waranty

bad news is I think they forgot to add the Limited Slip Additive... My invoice has a qty of 3 for the gear lubricant #89021677, but my invoice does not show the limited slip additive #1052358. I called the dealer, but all the tech's are gone for the day, so I have to wait until tomorrow to see if the additive was actually added or not...

is it okay to drive the car without the additive until I can get back to the dealer?

I'm pretty sure when they did my pinion seal recall I asked the same question and it was charged as a 'service' or 'kit'. If it doesn't shake around tight corners in a parking lot then you're ok.

Nick,

What were your issues w/your last diff you had replaced....did the dealer give you a hard time about replacing it?

it had a very slight wine in 4th gear from about 46-53mph... I had to get the service manager at my dealer to take a ride with me to justify it to him. After I proved it, he order the new diff, and I dropped it off the day it came in. They completed the job in 1 day...

Driving the car without the additive will do no harm, the clutch packs will be just noisey in corners as the plates stick momentarily until they slip to allow the differing wheel speeds required for the corner.
