For anyone who is thinking of doing what Mark did. Don't know how it will work but it seems like this is an awesome price and a great starting point

Note that the engine/fuel management system is another add-on.

horsepower tv put a turbo kit on a new challenger. could only use 4-5lbs boost and only made about 75 more hp. since the motor has 10.75 compression. said they had to lower compression by swapping in flat top pistons to run more boost? how much boost can you safely run on a high compression northstar motor?

Depends on weight, fuel, fuel octane, load, manifold air temperature, fuel pressure, injector flow rate, compression ratio, gear ratios, and one hell of a lot of tuning and tweaking.
Northstar started with 10.5:1 and changed to 10.0:1 in 2000. Both engines turbo differently given the first sentence.
Go back and find all of Mark99STS posts and see if there's a boost figure in there........he did an update a month or so back......
