Anyone know of anyone, friends, family members, who have been sued by the record labels?

I don't know anyone. I'm not a huge offender but if they did come after me I wouldn't go quietly.

i download occasionally :hide:. if they came after me, i would tell them to kiss my booty! there are far more important crimes going on other than freakin' internet downloading. do they think it will expedite the fall of capitalism? no, it wont: the vast majority of people still buy music and such from the good old fashioned stores out there. and they always will.

When they quit charging $17 for a CD, I'll quit downloading. As much, anyway.

From what I've read, so far they use the various P2P services to search for users with large amounts of files available for transfer. If you finish your downloads and get the files out of the download file, there's nothing to find.
