I used this set http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=37714 getting the wheel back on was a pain, because i have the telescoping steering and attempts to push stuff down to get the collar back on let me pulling the center shaft. There is probably some very easy way that I didn't think of. davesdeville 08-24-04, 10:02 PM Removing the wheel is easy enough, borrow a puller from autozone. You'll have to leave a small deposit, but you get that back when you return the tool. Putting the wheel back on usually requires another tool to compress a spring in the column, but if it's a telescoping wheel it can be a major pain in the ass. I know from experiance. Maybe there's some special tool or something. I had to compress mine by hand, and it was hard. barge master 08-25-04, 09:42 PM There is a tool called a lock plate depresser that is pretty much mandatory unless you want to be majorly frustrated. | |
