Any thoughts appreciated. barge master 08-25-04, 09:46 PM Which piece you mean? I just rehabed 4 door panels so I got to know them rather well. 89 D'elegance 08-25-04, 09:59 PM If I had the photo, I could tell you it is on the drivers door and I think it is the closest to the outside if that helps. Got a pic with numbers, I will let you know which piece. barge master 08-29-04, 09:34 PM That little strip that runs vertically near the rear? 89 D'elegance 08-29-04, 11:21 PM Umm..yh I think so, if you opened the door it would be the one closest to the outside coming loose on top and bottom also want to put it back in place some how. Thanks. barge master 08-30-04, 10:27 PM You gotta yank the door panel. Those are plastic and there are little spikes that go through the panel and there is a special upsidedown tin nut that holds them. If they're that loose the spikes probably broke off. I got around that by putting a small screw with a washer into a hole in the center of the spike. You can't use too big of a screw or you'll split the spike. It's a pain to do but that's what it takes. :crying2: 89 D'elegance 09-08-04, 10:50 PM I am not into yanking door panels but it is bothering me, that is all that is wrong with my car and I would like to put it back so I dont catch anything on the trim while getting in and out. | |
