Back in the day when a Cadillac was really something special they had a pretty impressive sounding horn. Has anybody changed the horn in their Escalade to sound like the old style Cadillac horn? I am not looking for a train horn that requires a separate compressor, just something that can replace the factory horn

No. I think it's tough the way it is.

I know what you are talking about ! You should be able to find out what notes they were , plug and play.

I have the bosch supertone made in spain, installed in my honda pilot. I have three extra sets ($200 each pair) one to be installed in my hybrid. here is the video of the sound.

I did that in my last Yukon. There are 4 horns, A C D F notes. I mounted them on a piece of flat stock and wired them up. There were 2 horns on my Yukon, one on the left and one on the right. I hooked up 2 left and 2 right. It was awesome sounding! I am thinking of installing them in my new ext. BTW..new to this forum. Just got a 2009 ext with 5000 miles..like new. I am reading alot of good info on this forum.

I am curious about this as well--I went and bought a horn set from a 79 Sedan de Ville (Honest John's Cadillac parts is about an hour from me). Where is the horn located (haven't looked yet for it, am guessing that it is front right corner)? The 79 horn has the standard blade plugs, one for each horn so it should be plug and play once I find a way to mount it.

Wow... I was just thinking this the other day when I honked at some guy. My uncle had Caddy's and I remember that impressive horn and those weird lights in the rear headliner.
