It been about 3 weeks since I bought my Escalade. I decided there was only a couple things I was going to do to it, the VCIM for bluetooth, LEDs and the Rear center console, which have all been done now.

Anyways, I was looking for info on the rear center OEM console before I purchased it. I couldnt find any pictures on here or for that matter anyplace of it installed. I read some reviews about it looking and feeling cheap, which I couldnt disagree with more. It fits perfect, and matches great. Your so pose to bolt it in, but I decided against it, so I could easly remove it if I wanted to. Also, it extremely sturdy just sitting there. Here are some pictures for reference:

What did you end up paying for it?

And what were you supposed to bolt it to?

I want it but i'm stil on the fence? Maybe it can be wrapped in leather? or at least just the armrest part?

i got the 20827036 vcim off ebay, youll need to get it off ebay or a junk yard, and also a bluetooth antenna. Took me about 30 mins to put, not hard at all, remove the center trim for around the radio, then theres 8 or so bolts holding the radio in. Remove the radio behind that is the original VCIM, remove that, plug the new one in and your good to go. I dont have onstar so i dont know if it would work or not but it honestly doesnt matter to me. The bluetooth is great and works just like it would in a new car

i won a ebay auction for 250 shipped. You have to remove some carpet to bolt it in, but honestly its extremely sturdy just bolted there. It match extremely well I dont think youd need to rewrap it.

Remember in my pics there is a flash so its brighter then it really is, the console is darker in person

If you got it and didnt want it, im sure you could sell it. It will fit all the GM suvs from 07+

I have one too. Never use it but i thought it looks better than with nothing at all.

hate to revive an old thread but I'm considering getting one of these and was wondering, if you didn't bolt the console down, how does it stay stationary and not move/jump around when you go over bumps or do anything but drive straight?

would be nice it they have a nicer one made from leather, i would put that in a tahoe or suburban not escalade only if I really needed it

My ESV came with this and I took it out immediately. With my two young kids in car seats it made getting into the 3rd row impossible.
Now that the kids are getting a little older i'm considering putting it back in.

Tell us more about the Supra? Turbo?
What mods have you done?
What's the HP?
1/4 mile time?

Is it as redonkulous as everyone says?

I bought one at the local dealership today but the base doesn't fit flush with the floor. I guess I'll have to take it back and see if they can get the correct one. I agree it should have been wrapped with fake leather or something but I still want it.

I just bought the rear console for my 2013. It looks great and is better than having nothing at all. I had the dealership bolt it in for me. if you don't, it moves around and seems cheap. It cost me
$60 to have them bolt it in. You can probably do it yourself but you have to use the bolts from the seats. The unit does come out easy though after it is bolted in. There is a quick release lever so you can take it out and put it back in anytime in seconds. It would be better if it matched the front center console with leather and wood but it doesn't and it looks fine anyway.

I like the one I have but it wasn't an easy bolt in. The first one I received didn't fit the floor at all so I took it back. This is when I learned the floor changed mid year in 2010. Mine required the earlier verison and it still required some cutting/trimming of the rear seat base cover panels.

I'd like to know what the floor change was ??

I'd like to know what the floor change was ?? I don't have a clue the guy working with me in the dealership parts room told me my VIN would determine which console I needed. This is when he mentioned the floor changed mid-year. I still had to trim some off of the removable panels under the seat and even had to build up the console mounting bracket for the tabs to engage. I did the trimming with a Dremel tool and it came out great and unnoticeable.
