I can't add anything to the whine question but am curious if you can provide the text to item 24 on the listed site (low brake pedal?)

"Low Pedal/Air in System"... I don't really know what that means. Can't find it anywhere. But I will be paying a visit to the dealer tomorrow to check the condition of my car. I will ask him about a few points in this list. And will try and ask again for the part numbers for the power folding mirrors.

I only mentioned this because the URL you included in the first note of this string showed s tsb list that contained one about low brake pedal (number 24) and I thought that maybe you were a subscriber to the site. I am still wondering why the SRX brake pedal acts so strangely. I am beginning to wonder if the SRX has the feature called PBA (panic brake assist) that is offered on the STS? That might explain why the SRX brake pedal feels like the system has air in it and needs to be bled.

Per the cadillac.com SRX specs: "4-wheel disc brakes with ABS and panic assist" - but my Mercedes has that too and no fade, and yes I do notice the fade more now that I've driven the SRX for a month. Really a wierd feeling after many years of a solid brake pedal...

No I did not subscribe there. I am thinking of doint so.
The dealer said he'll get back to me regarding number 24. Unfortunaly today there is no electricity in the whole country (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3590798.stm). So no computers work at the dealer.

And I don't feel any fade in the brake pedal. It is working fine with me. Even thought I did once feel the PBA.

I see a couple TSBs on my 2005 SRX from that Edmunds site. Now how do I find out if they apply to me? Should I bring them to the attention of service manager when I bring my car in? I did notice sunroof doesn't open "all the way" - there is about 6 inches (maybe I'll pay better attention today) where it looks like it should open but stops. Also what's the communication upgrade??

maybe you should ask the dealer next time you pay them a visit.

i don't have xm but still my sunroof doesn't open "all the way". it stops at a few inches and i think its normal.

TSB's are issued for a variety of reasons. Look at the titles of the 04’s on Edmunds and you will see many don’t concern the end user like what channels XM needs to be tuned to in order to activate. The TSB for the sunroof is another good example. I bet it is a TSB explaining that the sunroof is not designed to open the entire way with the first button press.

The first press opens the sunroof to the "non-buffeting" position. This is the position that is supposed to create the least amount of wind buffeting. If you want it open all the way you press the button again. Many auto’s do this. Mercedes is eliminating this feature from all of their automobiles because too many people think it is not working properly (including some technicians). MB is eliminating over 600 such “features” as one part of its effort to increase its quality scores.

Personally, I am not concerned with TSB’s unless I am having some problem. In that case I will look to see if there is a TSB addressing my problem.

There is a stop built in. it goes all the way back to about 6 inches then stops. you hit the switch again and it goes back the rest of the way.
