Just got my V back today from modern muscle. On a custom grind cam I made 440 whp and 385 tq. I will post a vid when i get a chance.
Mods:
Intake
self ported TB
kooks headers with no cats
corsa exhausted modified with x-pipe.
custom grind cam with all the accesories springs, rods water pump etc.
Monster stage 3 with light weight flywheel
g-force axles.
The car just roasts the new 275 i put out back, and the car sounds mean as hell!
It was done on a dynojet( how it compares to other dynos i dont Know. I know the dyno at AMS where i get my evo worked on reads low compared to other dyno jet #'s) . I dont know how the guys at modern muscle feel about giving out cam specs. I told them what i wanted, and they custom grinded me a cam and I love it! I know some shops are very hush hush, while others are very open about giving cam specs. Size wise its similar to a MS3 cam.
BY etc. I mean ported water pump, HO oil pump, double roller chain, plugs, msd wires etc.
I dont remember of hand the brand but i'm sure they are beehive stye dual valve springs with titamium retainers. The intake is a k&n kit.
AMS's dyno reads low? It always seemed spot on with P&L Motosports dyno.
I'm impressed by your numbers. My bone stock other then ls7 clutch kit and a magnacharger made 430/430 on Speed incs dyno a few months back... I gotta get Kooks asap!
From what i hear compared to other dyno jets it does. I dont know about the p&l dyno never been there nor have i heard of many evos that go there. I know they are big into subarus.

Do you mind sending me a PM of what was done and what the total bill was? I am looking for a place to do some work on my V. I currently have kooks LT, Lingenfelter CAI, and full corsa exhaust. I really want to find a good shop to do a cam or maybe a cam/heads combo. thanks
Hey look, an LS2 with a 238/242 112LSA setup! Nearly as good a combination for that motor as a 242/248 112. I wonder who suggested this cam not 2 weeks ago for the LS2 crowd? :thumbsup: Glad it worked out for you.
Sorry i didnt see your post. My car is an 05 ls6. I placed my order like the 5th of February. Its a custom spec'd cam from modern muscle. I told them what i wanted and thats exactly what i got. I'm very happy with the results. Size wise yes my cam is similar to a MS3.
Nice #'s. Your car is simliar to mine. My cam spec: 238 240 DURATION @ .050, .605int lift .609exh lift @ 112 LSA vs. Magic Stick V.3 237/242 .603/.609".
How's the drivablity? Do you have any exhaust smell after sitting at the light for 20 sec?
Yes my cam is very similar. Drivability slowing down is not too bad, the throttle hang is almost gone and yes i do get a wiff if the car is idling for a bit, not bothersome at all, my evo has been like that for years.
