: What do they say about your car?

I'm poking around carsurvey.org trying to get a feel for some sedans and SUVs. The Seville's transmission is starting to slip from 1-2 and it needs new front struts. All of that totals a few grand for a car quickly approaching 200k. Its dealt with abuse and given itself generously to its owners, so its time to move on.

Carsurvey seems to fixate on reliability and things that break rather than enjoyment and design. Some of the Bentley reviews were interesting.

Not surprised:
Mostly positive for Regals, Cherokees, Rivieras, Mercedes W123 and W124s, and 4.9L Cadillacs.
Mostly negative for Cateras, Saabs from the late 90s through mid 2000s, and Intrepids.

Surprised:
Ride quality complaints on the Bentley Continental GT. Reliability problems on the Mazda 6. Satisfied Range Rover owners.

Odd:
Here's a car review from North Korea:

As far as my brain serves me at 4 AM in the morning, in North Korea owning a car, having driver license, having access to internet, and even going to bar, is an special bonus for the people that serve "Democratic People's Republic of Korea's Army", or intelligent services, or are top officials of government.

So it is very easy to guess the job that this fellow has in N Korea :D

I love Carsurvey.org.

Here are the four I wrote for my cars.

I always read surveys from here before I bought any of my four cars. What are you looking at to replace the STS with?

Strangely enough, there are SEVEN (http://www.carsurvey.org/reviews/bricklin/sv-1/)(!) reviews for the Bricklin. I'm fairly sure I read all of them before I bought.

Fair, nice, and honest review about Regal. I liked it. BTW Chad, it is interesting for me to see whenever you speak about Regal, you say something about Grand Prix too, as a superior car against Regal. ;)

I have written a review about Charger in this website, and within it I referred to Regal again and again. It supposed to be a Charger review, but finally turned out to be about greatness of Regal, specially in comments and responses. There was some discussions in comments too. Some times I guess Dodge pays some people to defend its product in such websites:hmm::histeric:

I had decided to write a review about Regal too, but totally has forgot till now. It will be very similar to yours, but I will give more credits for Handling/Ride.

Pretty much my car, except mine is a '92.

To agree with the review:

Yes, one of my horn buttons does not work.
Yes, my right passenger power door lock doesn't work (still works manually)
Yes, I hate reaching all the way over for the rear wiper too.
Yes, I too hate the gauge cluster, and really want to swap in an Olds Custom Cruiser cluster.
And yes, I looooove the gobs of torque available (I wonder how much difference the 30 lb/ft from an LT1 would make... I bet the extra 80 horses are fun though).
