Hi,

I had done an engine oil change, transmission oil change along with filters. On the day I did the change and prior to doing it, the engine light went on.

When I changed the oil, I reset the oil life meter.

The engine light didn't go off so I think it needs to be reset, but I don't know how.

I also have not been able to start the car remotely.. the break lights flash once indicating the radio signal is reaching the car, but it doesn't turn on the ignition.

Any idea how can these issues be resolved?

Take it to an Autozone , they will read your codes and some will do a reset . Cost nada.

the engine light has nothing to do with the oil change. You need to have it checked to see if you unplugged something or if something else is wrong.

Remote start is disabled by the computer when you have ANY codes present. Clear the codes and remote start will start working again.

Push your onstar button had have them do a diagnostics for you. They will tell you what it is and what to do about it. FOR FREE.
