...and the 'Seville' name doesn't appear on some pages of Cadillac's website. I guess Cadillac is removing 'Seville' from its website and replacing it with 'STS.'

The 360 views were interesting.

I compared them to those of the Seville.

The 2005 STS may do 0-60 in 5.9 seconds with the RWD V8 and 0-60 in 6.6 seconds with the RWD V6, but the FWD Seville STS is definitely my pick. I will see how the new 2005 STS performs when I test drive it in Sept. I'm pretty sure that it will out perform the 1998-2004 Seville. However, there is obviously a lot, interior-wise and definitely exterior-wise that I despise about the 2005 STS and I believe that a lot of you will express some of my sentiments, if not all lol. What were the designers thinking

They are both really nice interiors, but the 2005 looks more modern inside for sure and the woood stands out more to which is really nice. Also the seats seem great. I really like my '99 STS interior and I also like the one in the 2005. Also in the 2005 im sure there are some tighter fits, I hate to say it but there are a few spots in my car that I would like to see closed up. Trust me the 2005 is a luxurious car. Oh and they finally removed the Seville from the car selector on the left... goodbye.

The 2005 looks like a very quality and tastfuly designed interior. Once you get into it I'm sure you drool over it ;).

Well, here's my take on it. For Seville/pre-05 STS owners, do NOT take this as an insult to the previous design, please. When the new Seville/STS came out, it was heralded as the "Worldclass Luxury Performance Vehicle" to compete with the Euro's - unfortunately, atleast for the past few years, it's fallen short in many ways. What you finally have in the 2005 is a true competitor. Finally magazines can actually compare the STS with the BMW and Mercedes sedans, and COMPETE - if not win in many to all factors.

The interior of the 2005 STS finally looks the part, IMHO. It looks like a friggin' Lexus inside finally - it has euro flair, but still hints so deeply to American design, while still defining the Cadillac interior scheme.

The exterior is stout, but not too stout. And the only thing it really needs (or in MHO, it doesn't need) is the door side molding to help break up the flat, bare doors. I like the smooth look, but most don't. Thankfully, the side door moldings will be a factory-supplied, dealer-stalled option. Maybe someone can photoshop some door molding on - IMHO, that's what makes the STS look bland from the side- from the back it looks ready to eat up the road...

STSOnly / Sorry you feel the way you do about the new STS. Just to prove that there's no accounting for taste, I feel pretty much the opposite. I always thought the '92-'97 Sevilles were knockouts, especially the STS version, with its simpler side treatment. The sharp, crisp lines made these cars look rakish, edgy, and dramatic.

The '98-'04s were a huge disappointment for me, as I feel the softened and more rounded lines of the new car made them look boring, generic, and banal, like an airport rental, although I do think the interiors looked great, however.

The 2005 STS on the other hand looks bold, aggressive, in-your-face, and full of attitude, exactly the way a Cadillac should.

The new STS is really starting to grow on me. I'm looking forward to test drives in a v6 and v8 this fall. Maybe an '06 for me...

To each his own, but I think the new STS looks terrific, inside and out.

Of course, since I'm a cheap bastard I'll be looking to first pick up a 2003 STS when my 99 wears out, blows up, etc. Then, after the '03 wears out I'll finally be in the market for a 2005 in 2008 or 9!

Sweet ride. Any word on the supercharged version?
