How does it sound?

Nice quiet smooth rumble at low rpm's just barely louder than stock and then a deep serious roar when you jump on the throttle. In other words, it sounds like a slightly mellow at idle hot rod Chevy LT1.

I did home base and the intake first and I felt a bigger gain doing this AND it was loud enough that some people would leave the muffler stock. It was a stock muscle car sound, not anything loud and annoying.

I then did the exhaust. What that did, besides sound real good, was point out the weak shifting points. It also made me start using the column shifter and think about a floor shifter. :D

Cool. Hey - you moved?

What do you mean by "point out the weak shift points"? That sounds like a bad thing...

Saint, go for Brian Herter's programming its a world of difference... The shifts feel so much better now and mid throttle feels much better also. I think I'm even getting better gas mileage too!!!

It doesn't do a quick 'performance' shift or downshift, it does a slow 'gas mileage' hesitate to find it's 'fuel conserving' RPM. It hesitates, stalls and basically does everything but shift when a shift is wanted.

Not a complaint about the car. It was made to get decent V8 gas mileage while carrying old people around in comfort and style. I've just noticed it more because I can hear it better through the new exhaust.

Some of us are pushing our car's to do thing's they were'nt intended to do. My car is full of aftermarket parts to accomplish just that. And I have a few more to go! :D (Then a Herter tune.)

The car does get excellent gas mileage for being huge with a 5.7... There's plenty of V6's that get similar mileage - brand new...
