Basically a Z06 with ZR1 upgrades, and Magnetic Ride control.
My favorite part? New color: INFERNO ORANGE.
DO WANT. Only building 500 of these though. *sigh* I guess a guy can dream :cloud9:

GM must be spying on my house, because my dad and I were talking about a car just like this (ZR1 brakes/suspension + LS7) about a month ago.
There is a God!

And his name is/was Bob Lutz.
I guess that's a sweet way to go out. :)
I wonder what this version weighs?

Me too. It's got to be like, under 3k. Because a regular Z06 is 3130, and if they're shaving 3 seconds off of lap times... yeah.

You and me both. Only building 500 though.

It's basically a ZR1 minus the LS9 and Carbon Fiber roof.
I'm going to the C5/C6 Bash in a couple of weeks in Kentucky. I hope to see one of these in the new Supersonic Blue while we are in the Corvette plant. I really like the hood without the window, sadly it won't be available from GM parts counters though.

the only thing that would make it better is Recaros.

Most will end up in collector's hands rather than being a track machine.

^^^Since most of the options will be available on the regular Z06, youll see most of this at the track anyhow. I know a couple of 427 Z06's have seen a track, and I kinda consider them to be a little more special. By the way, how 'stock' is your E36 M? :)
Interesting color. It some photos it almost looked matte blue...and surprisingly I liked that.
