I'd like to see pics of them chromed, especially on a silver car.

I am afraid mine were chromed from the previous owner but I understand he got them done throught the dealership (Superior in KCMO)

Mine were also chromed by the original dealer (Sewell Cadillac in Dallas, TX). I have seen sets of these wheels on eBay where they will trade you their chromed ones for your stock ones plus a fee. I don't know how legit it is, though.

In talking to the people at Sewell, if I remember correctly they actually ship theirs off to a place in Oklahoma. Something about the environmental laws not being as strict there.

This is one place that I found chromes the wheels and does an exchange. I haven't used them though. I believe the person posting about his Thunder Grey/Tango V mentioned chroming his wheels.

I did the whole wheel exchange on ebay. They came out very nice. I actually paid an extra $500 to keep my original wheels. To me, it was worth it to keep the stocks.

Would you please post a pic from behind. I am thinking about getting the smoked tail lights and want to see how they look. I have a friend who has an import business with factories in China and I was going to see if he can arrange shipment a set of smoked tail lights from the Chinese SLS.

Thanks.

I did a chrome wheel exchange and just got the chromed wheels today. They look great. Will have them mounted on my XLR-V tomorrow. I used www.lawheel.com

Here I've got my set of chrome rims. I kept the original rims, get them chromed was a bit difficult over here.
So I checked the NET, found detroit wheels and only after a week!!! they were fixed on my V.
Great folks to deal with. Even from overseas.

What was the price?

What was the price?

Prices are posted on the website. Expensive!!!

I checked on the SSR site because a lot of members there bought SSR's with painted wheels and the chrome OEM wheels are expensive.
Many have used the exchange programs advertised on e-bay with good results. (No complaints that I read.)

However a few have posted they used Discount Tire Shop for the wheels.
They order them. When they come in you bring your car in and they mount and balance them for you and your out the door.

I have not used any of these services.
I am just relaying information that is posted on another site I belong to.

I'd like to see some prices for those who have done the exchange for Chromed OEM wheels. Can anyone give us at least an approximate price for the swap?

My XLR-V wheels were right at $800 plus $100 return freight.

Try these guys! They do awesome work! Had OEM wheels on my SVX done in Black Chrome (Ebony Pearl car) and they turn heads wherever I go. Great service, including straightening, if required, before plating. :cool2:

Well maybe you should avoid LA Wheel.
