Ah, yes, the angry 59 Buick Electra 225. It's doesn't really have a headlight out, though. It's in Europe, and the factory quad headlight have been chaged to feature high/low projector beams in the low beam positions and turn signal lights (?) in the high beam positions. The shadow effect created by the angle the picture was taken at gives the illusion of a broken, burned out headlight.

It was a joke folks. No one has noticed the fact the 59 doesn't look very happy?

1960 LeSabre. Nice, but it's no Electra 225.

It also looks a little less pissed off, I was clearly far angrier when my car was in that body shop (which part of its chrome trim still is to this day :D)

People didn't respond well to the canted headlights on the 1959 models, so Buick went to a horizontal arrangement for 1960. Unfortunately, they vee-d the headlight pods, giving the car a bug-eyed look. Also not well received. Buick styling didn't really get better until around 1964.

Don't I know it! During my senior year of high school a very good friend of mine's dad had a white 1960 Buick Electra 225 convertible with brown and tan two tone real leather upholstery. Fully loaded t he car was really cool, much more fun for a couple seniors to tool around in than my Dad's '60 Fleetwood. Needless to say once Winter broke we had a sun drenched and girl filled Spring ..... a truly great way to finish high school! A couple of other friends had a MGA and a graduation present Triumph TR4 and an Aston Martin DB$. Fortunately we all survived the Summer and went on to college and the turbulent sixties!
