I would contact a dealer because if it is available, the dealer has the final say in honoring it. :hmm: miscreant 08-16-04, 07:49 PM Is cadillac honoring supplier discounts on XLR? Other GM products get roughly a 14-15% discount with paperwork. The GMS and GM Supplier have periodically been unavailable on the XLR from GM. However, I don't think you'll find a single dealer willing to do GMS or Supplier on an XLR if it is even available in your region. FYI: Supplier is only a couple hundred under invoice - the 14%-15% number above is for GMS (Gm employee purchase). galinskie 08-16-04, 11:02 PM On the GM employee site, it lists the XLR as having the GMS discount available. I get the GMS price, but friends of mine who get the supplier price have told me its GMS + 2%. I have never run into trouble with dealers not honoring it in south florida. They have told me GM makes it up to them. I have even been told by one sales manager if they dont honor it, they are penilized. An Example of the GMS price in my local dealers inventory is: MSRP / GMS 100% 2004 XLR (Base) Black Raven Exterior/Leather, Ebony $76,525.00 $68,626.10 100% 2004 XLR (Base) Black Raven Exterior/Leather, Shale $76,525.00 $68,626.10 100% 2004 XLR (Base) Light Platinum Exterior/Leather, Shale $76,525.00 $68,626.10 This came right from the GMS site. msheri01 08-17-04, 08:49 PM For some reason, the car information lists what the price would be, but if you read the rules of the GM Supplier and Employee purchase programs, the vehicle is still listed as not eligible. I even called GM to check again last week, and was told that it still is not eligible. mswaim 08-19-04, 11:01 AM It was available when I bought mine, however my circumstances were much different and I worked a deal on a dealer demo that was almost as good so I held my GMS plan for later use. Since the numbers were so limited in the 2004 model year dealers were not even discussing GMS plans since GM could not guarantee a replacement unit. If you were willing to wait for an ordered model, the chances of getting one on the GMS plan were good. I think there will be many 2005's sold that way. With the 2005's now hitting the dealers lots I think we will see a sharp decline in the "packing" that ocurred last model year. caddydealr 10-29-04, 10:00 PM 2004's are now eligible for GMS, at least in the Northeast region that I can confirm. I have 2 available (Xenon blue/neutral, or Thunder Grey/neutral (very elegant)) if anyone's interested as well as a 2005 Xenon Blue. dbknight 11-02-04, 01:19 PM Please contact me about the supplier discount - dbknight@yahoo.com. thanks Dale galinskie 11-16-04, 03:55 PM Te GM website says all '04's are available for employee discount, about 8k off MSRP. www.gmfamilyfirst.com/pdf/GMFF_XLR_Flier.pdf | |
