I just got my Ext about 2 months ago, now thinking about getting a chrysler 300c instead. I think it is taking over as the new hip hop mobile. Have you seen one in lava red with some 22s on it? It looks so sweet and pimped.
Plus you get like 25mpg and still get 0-60 in 5.5 seconds. Your impressions?

They are coming out with a 300C SRT-8 in Feb 05', they take the hemi and punch it out to 6.1 Lt. and it has 425 hp and 420 ft. lbs. of torque. :worship: :worship:

Its hard to compare a truck v.s. a car. AWD vs perfomance. Ride quality, luxury ammenities, materials, fit and finish, and pricing between a Cadillac and Chrysler are incomparable. It seems to me that you are more interested on the look of the car and the cool factor rather than the different ammenities that come with the car or truck. The hip hop trend doesn't have anything to do with how a car performs or how good it is built. Next time compare specs not rap videos.

Stick with the ext. I personally think your "image" would be a lot better in an escalade, even 5 years from now, compared to a 300c which I'm guessing will be just any old car in about a year. But people have different thoughts. :)

hahah a 300c doesnt compare to an Escalade! Why are we even having this discussion. I thinik the 300 does look badass, but i wouldnt buy a car just for looks. Also, like everyone said.....give it a year or two and it will be old. I think the new dodge station wagon looks pretty tight too, and its in some new nelly video...but that doesnt make me want to run out and get a station wagon :hmm:

i think the red ext your talking about is Baby's from cash money records, he also has a esv in the exact same color. i think you should keep the EXT, the 300c is popping up in a lot of videos too

good luck. i don't know why you would spend so much time and money strictly on image. it's not like you're going to look bad in an EXT. it should be all about what you want. if rappers started pimping out pintos and putting them in videos, i don't think that would be a good reason to buy one.

In my opinion I think that the 300 is just an attempt at an "expensive looking" type car. People have been terming it "the poor mans Bentley." The Escalade is True Luxury. People see an escalade and instantly know the "Status." When I see a 300 I think that person wanted a "luxury car" but couldn't afford one! Hell the 300 starts at $24,000 what is luxurious about that?? The cheapest escalade starts out at $58,000. Thus the age old saying......you get what you pay for!!!

I posted this a while back when i was making my decision to buy a new car or suv. It was between a Escalade, Escalade EXT, and a 300C... If you dont mind the Chrysler name, the poor luxury association, and the huge chance 1000000s of these will be everywhere in a while, then get it. If you want a top of the line Luxury suv that no matter what will always be in style and always be luxury then stay with the cadillac!!! If you dont mind the Chrysler name, then why not wait for the new ford, not the GT, but a new ford that is supposed to KILL the chrysler in horses and a even better body.

Do you have to live the hip hop life? Be original... go with something YOU really like. Hip hop is so commeralized it's not even funny. It's soOOO played out. I wish something new would come along. It's boring.

The 300c is nice but with the hemi you'll NEVER see 25 mpg. More like 17 if your lucky.

The 300c is getting killed right now. It will be played out in a couple of months. Stick with an Escalade Ext. Also look at everyone that has a 99 or 2000 escalade they all are holding up just great. With the crysler is probably will not last long. Keep the Escalade. The Dodge Magnum and Chrysler 300c are so played out. I see them everywhere. Keep the LAC.

Its a dodge, and after all its a station wagon, something I would never buy unless I had a couple sons and a wife

i would never buy a station wagon no matter what is under the hood. but i wouldn't mind driving it. i don't care that it's a dodge. i'm a car nut and i don't care what brand it is as long as it's good.

I'm a GM guy but I'd like to see you buy American. EXT's are built in Mexico. The 300 is sweet. I like my V better though :coolgleam

I just got a Escalade a month ago and I love it. But i've ordered the 300C and I can't really say anything bad about it. Eve though its a Chrysler it is built on a Mercedes E Class chassis and the engine itself does cut down from 8 cylinders to 4 cylinders so you can save gas. The only thing about the Escalade is the value doesn't hold up that well. I purchased my 2003 for $53,000 Canadian with 24,000 km's and the guy who I purchased from bought it for close to $80,000. In one year it lost $27,000 which imo is a huge lost. I wouldn't totally flame the 300C, its a very nice design and its a bang for the buck. Will it get played out? Yes. Is the Escalade played out? Yes imo but whatever your taste is go for it.

I personally wouldn't drive a Chrysler no matter how much it looks like an older replica Bentley; It looks OK but is not the greatest image booster IMO. Bottom line, the starting price is in the mid twenties and I'd rather drive a used BMW or used Mercedes in the same price range anyday. The Escalade and Cadillac, in general, is in a totally different class of luxury. The word "hemi" to me is just an advertisement catch; the SRT version will be cool and fast but is still not my forte. If you want that "Hood Rich" ghetto $25,000 on generic dubs, I just put $500 down with $299 a month look, then its a great buy. Most of the buyers, however, will just be in the market for a good sized domestic sedan with cool looks and a low price. It's still kinda cool for the money, but its not going to be a stunner like an EXT on 24's or 26's. Anyhow, get what makes you happy, not what is the current fad.

I Like My Caddy And I Would Trade It In A Second For A 300 I Have Always Had Mopars, Just Got My Car 3 Months Ago, Had To Get Rid Of My Beautiful Jeep To Bye A House For My Family, But I Miss It Alot And I Think The 300 Is Definetly The Best Bang For Your Or Anyones Buck.

Thats a tough one. I'd recommend both because thats what I did, I traded in my Denali for a 300C a few weeks ago so now I have the Lade and the 300c as my daily drivers. Its a hell of a car for the money and the new awd version is pretty awsome and at only 40 grand its defiantly worth every penny. It isn't built on an E-class frame since its got a longer wheel base than the E does but is does have a mercedes tranny and other benz goodies in it that make this an award winning car. No its not as expensive as a lade is but if you can afford a 300c you could most defiantly afford a lade which makes it just as classy a car I think. :)

I pulled up bhind a "lava red" 300C at a Burger King Drive through the other night. While I was looking at it, I thoguh to myself, who woudl buy a s**t brown car. It wasn't until I looked it up on the Chrysler website and saw that it was supposed to be red. Maybe it was the lights, but I could have sworn it was brown. It's really hard to compare any kind of truck, to any kind of car.

The 300c looks like a Checker Marathon in the front. For those not old enough to remember those, they're way ugly!
