I am holding out for this exhaust. I found this on ebay. He has 2 auction both at $999 with free shipping. Are either auctions for our Vs? Does $999 with free shipping sound like a good deal to you guys> I'm still a newbie

PJ has the right idea as to the part # The V was not made in 05 and Why would it not fit the 08? I understand that the 09 and 10 are a larger car so that would be a reason for not including it in the listing. Perhaps you need to
ask a question of the Vendor, see what he has to say. As you know GM has a habit of changing part number at will so You may be able to cross reference the two numbers and see what comes of that. One thing I did notice about
GM Parts Direct is there cost of shipping. I think that is where thay make up the difference in pricing. I could be wrong, but I bought a CTSV shift knob from them and the shipping was way to high for the weight and size of the
package. Just MHO. Check it out.
I spoke at lenth with Chris from Borla before I bought the exhaust since they advertise that the exhaust for the V fits the 2006. He said that they've personally only fitted part # 140178 (Borla #) to an 06 but the STS-V framework hasn't changed and it'll fit all years of the V. He'll also send out 4 pieces (at no cost) to insert at specific points to kill any vibrations in the system.

I stand corrected. Thank you. I read somewhere that they were, but you are 100% Correct. I don't like to put out misinformation. So again Thanks for the correction.

I was surprised to see Borla was the GM performance exhaust offered for the STS-V.
Borla was the Mopar performance exhaust for the Prowler.
I have a Corsa on my STS-V. It was installed by the original owner.
The Corsa exhaust is loud and resonates in the cabin. (I still like it though.)
Corsa is the GM performance exhaust offered for the Chevy SSR.
Like everything else in business.
They buy from the aftermarket manufacturer that gives them the best deal.

So how much do dealers usually charge to install the GMPP Borla?
