I've been thinking about putting the Truxxx lift kit on the Escalade. Just to be a little different and for looks. Was hoping someone had pics of one with a similar lift or leveling kit on. Appreciate it! Take care, Ryan

I am thinking of leveling the front end.

There was a member on this forum a while back (the only one that I know) that I had a 2 inch leveling kit installed on the front of his White EXT.

I say do it. I would be interested to see what it looks like.

It depends on what wheels you're going to run. Stock 22" have a 32" tire. I did it on mine to fit in 22" off road rim on a 33x12.5x22 toyo mud tire. The 26" rims use a 33" tire as well but the offset is diff so the rub issue os almost non existent. The traxx kit is 1" in rear and adjustable from 1.5 to 2.5" in front. I like the look, but then again I'm a country boy. I run the 26" in summer and am not afraid to have some fun with it in the winter. Its just a truck and in a year+ the new model will be out lol. I have the hankooks on there for summer and if you're looking, I highly recommend them.

Do you think I could I just level the front end of the Escalade and leave the rear alone? I am thinking of just a 1.5 inch lift in the front. That should be enough for it to be leveled, right? Your thoughs/comments are appreciated.

I bought the Truxxx kit and installed it...actually installed it a couple of times because I wasn't happy with the front end the first time. Installed all the pieces first go around and the front ended up being 1/4 inch higher than the back. Took 2 of the spacers out of the front and now the front end is about 1/4 lower than back. Looks way better to me now and I think the overall height difference is about 1 3/4 higher. I didn't measure before and I regret that but looks the way I wanted it to.

I just got done installing a 2'' strut spacer(leveling kit). The only things I had to do was shave down the top studs on the strut and go to home depot to buy an all thread rod so I could lengthen the autoride sensor link for the front sensors. I plan on ordering some new wheels and 33'' tires to finish the setup. But first I have to get the front end realigned. Here's some pics I took with my phone......

Can you not link to flickr anymore for photos? How do insert photos?

I just installed 3" spacer on the front and 2" on the rear. I'm going to put A/T 33" tires on it. I just have to decide whether I'm going to stay with the stock 22"s (limited tire choices) or go with some aftermarket 20" wheels.

did you add the torsion keys to level the front, or just strut spacers?? I have a stock 03 EXT, that I want to raise the front 1.5 inch. Can this be accomplished by just adding a 1.5 inch strut spacer w/out the torsion keys?

The 03 has a torsion bar front suspension where as the 07+ has coil overs in the front. For the 03, 1.5 inches can probably be gain just by turning in the adjustment keys and an alignment. Strut spacers would not be applicable to you. :) (I know cause I had a lifted 03 before my 08)

My 08 has a 3" front and 2" rear "ebay" lift kit and a Performance Accessory 3" BL. I'm running 325-50/22's on stock wheels with some minor trimming in the front. I upgrade to Baer 15" front brakes and extended the shock sensor links for the lift. The speedo and trans shift points have all been corrected via EFI Live and calibrated via gps. I know some people frown on lifting Lades, but I like it and it's mine! ;)

Did you select the 15" Baer because that was the max size for stock 22" rims?

Nah, it was the most performance for the $$$. (around $600) I think you can go pretty big with a 22" wheel. Also, anything bigger would have cost thousands and I wasn't sure about the caliper clearance with the stock wheel.

lpe350,
I have the same ebay spacer lift as you. I didn't think you could put a body lift on an escalade. What did you do about your hitch, exhaust and tow hooiks? I'm assuming the body lift effected all of those.

Did you have to trim any to fit your tires? Looks good.

You can look up the Performance Accessories 3" body lift for a 2007 Suburban and download the instructions. It will answer all your questions in detail. They don't have a listing for a 2007-11 Escalade because they said they have "never test fitted" it. The 1500 Suburban and Escalade has the exact front and rear bumper supports. The body lift does require modification of the bumpers.

I had to trim a bit behind the front tires for the clearance.

First off I'd like to say that your lift and tires looks great.
quick question: I just picked up an 07 Escalade EXT and i wanted to do a lift and tires but i wanted to make sure i can still get into my parking garage at work so I'd have to stay under 7 feet tall.
i was wondering how tall you sit right now with your set up. The floor to the top of you antenna or roof rack.

Thanks

Sorry for the late reply, I don't visit the forum often. I am 7.5" taller than stock if that helps.

Has anyone trimmed/cut down the power running boards to help with clearance. I know they can moved but I would rather trim them down. I'm trying to take the plastic off so I can cut the metal down. I've taken the five screws out at the ends and trying to remove the top step pad that is held down by clips. I was pulling up on it and two clip broke off instead of popping up
Any ideas or tips?
Thanks
Jim

305/55/20 33x12.50 Duratracs with +10 offset wheels would not fit with my 3/1.5" spacer lift. Thanks to
lpe350's confirmation that the Suburban lift will fit the Escalade, I"m having Davis Offroad install the PA 3" body lift.
I was thinking I could fit the tires with just the spacer lift with some trimming behind the liners and pull the liners back NOT! When turning the wheel, the wheel hits the front liner so bad it would push the plastic bumper out. I will post photos when I get them. Here is a teaser test fitting the tires before the body lift

Looks good. That's what I had on my 01 Suburban. I got stuck a few times in deep soft sand(beach) and in deep snow so that's why I went up this time. I have my wife's WRX as my low rider now.

Had a problem with the LPP headers so I had to order some Doug Thorley headers...
