Hey all,

Looking for some ideas on "BIG BRAKE" kits for the caddy. I really don't care to spend $6-8k on Brembo brand. Anything larger than stock would be nice, truck is on 22's now and a set of 26's for the summer. I'm noticing very high brake temps around town and I never find myself abusing the brake pedal.

Thanks

I can't understand why you would need bigger brakes. The stock brakes on my ESV will stop a 17,000 trailer on the back.

Escalade with 22's don't stop all that well. They need a tad bit more brakes.

I would go with Baer’s Eradi Speed Plus 1 Rotors. The stock rotors are 13",the Baer's are 15" upfront and 14" in the rear. You can do front and rear for $1100 to your door from AutoAnything.com

I just replaced brakes and rotors at 25k miles, pads were acceptable but the front rotors had some glazing and much warping. I may just be used to having my Allison trans in the p/u when I can go 75k plus on a set of brakes. I find this truck stopping very poorly without towing.

Thanks for the the replies guys. Keep em coming !

Anyone install these yet? I just went ahead and ordered a set.

Any special tools required? Does the caliper piston need to be compressed?

A C-Clamp is all you need to compress your piston . I,m looking forward to your review and install . My only fear is there is computers controlling braking and what the side effects are to the abs and stability controls . Mr Doom .

A direct fit component is R1 Concepts drilled and slotted zinc rotors and ceramic pads. put a set on my 03 tahoe with 22s and man those things worked great.. It is a definite for me when the time comes.

does not effect abs or anything else, also you can still use stock brake pads.
