please look and see which Nav disc came with your vehicle when it was new?

I recently bought a 2007 used Escalade with Nav and it didn't have a nav disc in it. The Caddillac dealership ordered a disc for me and mailed it to me. When I opened it up it was a 2005 Version 1.0 I don't think this is the disc that came with this vehicle. Why would a 2007 vehicle have a 2005 nav disc?
Anyone that has a 2007 that they bought new, please look and let me know which version it is and which year the copyright is on it . Thanks.

My 2007 came with a disk with a copyright date of 2005 (GM part #15878293). It was labeled Version 1.0. Under the two free update program they had for 2007's, the next disk I got had copyright dates of 2006 & 2007 (GM part #25853487U). The next update I got in late 2008 was part #GM25956691U (don't have the copyright dates since the disk went back with the truck to the dealer @ end of lease. Looks like you probably got the right original disk but it's at least two & maybe three generations old.
Interestingly, the disk that came with my new 2009 in Oct '09 is part #GM25956691 (no "U"). Looked like I might have gotten stiffed for a one generation old disk

That is correct. My 07 came with a disc from 05.

Map data is from 05, pretty standard that the map data is old.

Yea.. I have the latest disc.. ordered it off ebay.. works great and so far pretty up to date! here is the GM part number 20883771 .. You don't want and older disk and this one is version 8.3.. It had many updates from my old disk which I sold on ebay as well! here is a link to one on ebay if you are interested!

I just bought a 207 EXT and I checked here.....

http://www.gmnavdisc.com/

I ended up getting it for free since the 2007's came with two free upgrades from the factory and there was still an upgrade left. You might want to check before you buy one. The sent me the 20883771 Version 8.3 for free.

Go to that website above, get the 800 number and call them with your VIN. I did that when I bought my 2007 without a nav disk and they sent me the latest disk for free because the vin number had never taken advantage of the 2 or 3 free upgrades that they offered with the 2007's.. check it out, you might get one for free. I did

I just was able to get the updated disc on what was called a "good will" upgrade. The lady I talked to said the 2007 free upgrades ran out at the end of 2009. the 2010 disc is being mailed to me. Any future updates will cost $199.99. Glad I called when I did. Thanks Caddyfat and SilveradoSS :worship:
