I purchased a 2004 Escalade in December. The nav dvd that came with it does not always work. Does anyone have a newer dvd they would be willing to sell (I am on a tight budget)? Thank you
Could you possibly provide some info as to why that policy is in place? I looked at the classified section after reading your reply and while it's a help to see what people are selling, I would think there would be nothing wrong with posting a request to the folks who read a particular section of the forum in hopes someone might have something they would be willing to sell that they may have not thought about selling before reading the post. Not trying to start a debate just really don't understand why that rule is in place. Thank you
There's no rules being broken here Shore. It's always the guys that have been reprimanded for spamming that spew this "watch your back around here" garb. Inquiring if anybody has an unused disc they'd be interested in selling isn't like offering several NIB grills for sale in other people's threads. wn:
GSR, feel free to inquire about any discs people may have laying around for exchange or sale. As always, dealing with people over the internet can be risky business. Buyer beware my friend. You should have some luck finding something that would work for you here or on Ebay.
If I were you I'd stay far away from people selling illegal copies of the nav discs. And if you find that going on here please report it.
Thnak you for the clarification! Glad to know I can ask SOOOOO, once again I ask all of you out there if you have a nav disc you would be willing to sell that would work with my "new" 2004 Escalade. Thank you!!!!
I thank you for your offer, As I mentioned mine works sometimes and I own a TomTom so I would like to find a newer disc if I could...at least 2007. But I thank you again for the offer.
I'm always on E-bay, so if I come across one I can post the link (not to my auctions).
With regard to buying /selling / classified goods, and certainly not to crap on your thread GSR, but why the "a member can only sell 2 things in the CF classifieds for life" policy, and are there exceptions?
I just bought my Escalade, which means I have some cool things I picked up throughout the years for my DTS that I no longer need. I would have loved to see them go to a forum member, but since I can't post an ad in the classifieds, I put them on e-bay.
One item that just sold was a perfect set of factory side window shades and the power rear shade. I'm sure more than a few people here would have loved to have those pieces (well, in the Deville forum anyway!)
Again, no disrespect intended to this site or anyone involved, just curious what an acceptable "want ad" post would be. Is it OK to look for something, as in this case, but not offer an item for sale?
And yes, I scanned the rules and didn't see anything about classified postings, but it was a quick scan so I may have missed it.
IIRC you can only post 2 items at a time in the CA section, not 2 in your lifetime.
If someone creates a thread "I need a nav disc" feel free to offer your disc. Part of what these forums is about is like minded members exchanging ideas, goods, whatever to help each other out. But the folks that chime in that thread and add links to their Ebay auction s for grills, wheels, stereos, etc, is an obvious attempt to spam an unrelated thread. More often then not those members doing that are doing it in every thread they post in.
I don't take any disrespect from your post, and appreciate people trying to gain an understanding of the rules. I try to be even handed in applying the rules, but there are grey areas at times. And I'm human so I make mistakes too (sorry again Mr Shore ).
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
