Good Morning.
Has anyone removed the word "SUPERCHARGED" off the front doors?
Personally I think it is an invatation to race and the EYE of the man.
The V symbol say enought. The sound of the SC lets them know who
they are dealing with as you leave them behind.
I had heard that a hear dryer would do the trick, but I don't want to burn
the paint.
Any left over glue I can remove with "Goo Gone"
Also can the V symbol on the engine cover be moved. What I mean is
the glue reusable?
Thanks for any help :hmm:

Go to your local autoparts store and get either the 3M Emblem/Adhesive Remover or the GooGone Emblem remover. I perfer the 3M stuff as I get it for free.

hair dryer to warm the glue, then dental floss to remove, then bug/tar remover to get the leftover goop.

+1 Use a hair drier. It is next to impossible to burn paint with a hair drier and the only reason I say "next to" instead of "Impossible" is I can't rule out the possibility.;) But you would be hard pressed to get a hair drier that hot and if you could I would not want to use it on my hair anyway.

After you get the residue off use a cleaner wax and then wax it or use your favorite car care products on it.

I Like them right where they are and I put one on the trunk next to that "V"! People seem to look at them in disbelief!!!

I thought about it right after I got the car a few years ago, but now I'm glad I didn't because it was officially removed for the 09 year model and I don't want to be a poser, I drive an 06. :)

I think you have is a good thought. there.
I think It is an over all concept of what I want the car to look like.
Example: I like the fenders D3 is making. They show one car with
them painted and it look real good. My 08 has those fake vents on
the fenders. If you want something like that at least make it functional
I though of removing them and stripping them and painting them
the color of the car. In the end, I really don't like them anyway.
D3's work. I, however, understand your point.
Thanks for your comments

Thanks for the advice. Any particular type line, there must several types.
I have a few to choose from. Thanks also to all the other guys who gave
advice. I saw the car with the supercharged on the trunk. Very busy.
You did a good job with the letters. Please enjoy. I sure wish we could have
a sort of nationals for the Cadillacs. We used to do that with the Impala SS
and the AMXs. Each year we would choose another spot so all who wanted to
come could. It is a big job to organize and lots of work. Just some food for
thought.

The glue remover wont work because its a emblem, hair drier wont work because not enough heat and if you use a heat guy you'll just blister your paint off!

Its so simple that its funny...fishing line! Take about 12 inches of small gauge fishing line. Put glove on and wrap each end of the line around your fingers a few time and attach the middle to the the S on the supercharger. In a saw motion put hard and move it toward the R. After the emblem is removed you can use the glue gone stuff and remove the rest of it.
