Ive been searching for escalade owners using Royal Purple motore oil but with no luck. Are you using Royal Purple? Have you noticed a difference between other oils? Did it restore horsepower?
I've been using Walmart brand SuperTech Synthetic. I dont see the need to use Royal Purple ($8 a quart!) when my walmart synthetic oil change costs me $19 w/ a filter.
Or you can just use Castrol Syntec (another expensive choice, but great) or i also love Valvoline Synthetic for engines with over 75K miles. It works like a charm.
I'm using Royal Purple Max-Gear Fluid In the front and rear differential and then Royal Purple Synchromax Fluid in the transfer case. I'm at 70,000 miles, but didn't really notice it "restoring power". I just changed it because I knew it would be better for the truck...
Hey before you did the front n rear fluid change, did you experience the typical humming noise? If so did it go away with the royal purple? I always wondered if there was anything out there like Lucas with their addatives for transmissons and engines and so on. I would think Lucas would have something for the diffs and minimize the noise?
Everything we have uses Mobil1.
It's just soo easy to find when you need it.
