Can anyone tell me which tool(s) I need to disconnect the A/C lines on my '98?

Thanks

You have to have someone flush the refrigerant first.. which requires a machine to collect it. If they can flush it they should be able to disconnect the lines.

What makes you need to remove the A/C (hardline specific)?

I am pulling the engine to re-build the bottom end. The line is already empty, there is no presuure in it at all.

Hey Jeffery Thanks for the link.

After going by the local parts store and buying the kind of tool that you pasted a link for, I discovered that all I needed was snap ring pliers.

Its funny, those tools that you pointed me too, the last machine shop that I worked for, makes those things. I have personally run tens of thousands of those things and never really knew what the hell they were for.

If you intereseted here is a link for the company that we used to make them for. The company delt with a lot of custom tools, mainly for european import cars.
