This weekend (with a lot of help) installed Kooks Headers 1 3/4 along with the K&N Cold Air Intake and changed the spark plugs. The plugs were not the NGKs because they were not in stock and would have taken a week to get. I ended up with Autolite XP605 and they were supposed to be a direct replacement for OEM/NGK .
This is the only info I have on the plugs:
Iridium
Heat Range Chart Location G14
Now when driving, especially after its really warmed up, the throttle seems to "stick" at whatever RPM I take it out of gear. Sometimes sitting at a stoplight it will jump up and stick at like 1500rpm. I have had it stick as high as 3k rpm once after taking it out of 3rd gear.
Any ideas what I should be looking for. I was going to go check for intake/exhaust leaks but don't know what to do about the spark plugs.
I bought a HP Tuner but haven't figured out how to use it yet.... Maybe that will help me diagnose it once i figure that out. In the mean time, any suggestions????
Just remembered... also once when I was trying to park while the throttle was stuck I turned the car off and then tried to turn it back on and it had a real hard time starting.
