I was talking to this guy about getting an alternator and this is actually a good deal to what I found everywhere else. Some other companies wanted 500-600. If anyone else is interested in a high output alternator there is it. 200 A vs. stock 140 A.

Beware of these guys. It's easy to boost output on these units but the problem is maintaining the output once they get hot. All the units I've tried worked fine when cold but after the temp goes up the output goes down. And most die after a few weeks of high-temp usage.

Someone posted this on GMForums. Looks like a good setup. A little more expensive. If I do get the first one I'll take note of what you said and keep my original around. I'll see if they give me any kind of warranty. Thanks for the information.
