Can an iPod be connected to the stock Bose headunit in a 2004 Deville?

I research on in the Deville section and I thought it could be. I bought a USASpec PA11-GM45 and the CAS-GCAD7i. I connected everything and connected my iPhone, it charges and the message about going into airplane mode comes on but I can't select the cd changer from the headunit. Mine only has one source button (picture)

Will the stuff I have work or do I need to get rid of it and try something else? I have XM but currently not activated but rather replace the cd changer than the XM

Thanks for any help & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I made a harness with a box and some relays that lets you connect any audio device to the car stereo with FULL audio controls (volume, DSP, EQ).
I have posted a diagram how to build one here (http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-seville-cadillac-eldorado-forum/183595-project-cell-phone-mount-mp3-audio.html#post2048530).
You also keep your CD changer.
