: Anyone have any idea how to remove this steering pulley?

So I tried with one of those "universal" pullers with no avail. I hope I'm just doing something wrong here, cause as of now I'm running under the assumption that the dark lord himself designed this. Any ideas?

Were you able to take off the nut?

I just can't figure out how to keep the pulley still without damaging it. Otherwise this is a 2 second job.

You did not answer the question... Put the belt back, and keep it in place with the belt.

What I meant to say was no. That was the first thing I tried but there is not enough tension, belt slips. That nut is on tight.

they might make an oil filter strap type tool big enough to hold it, maybe wrap a belt around it to help hold it.

That sounded like a great idea so I went out and got the biggest filter strap I can find, 6 inch, but it was still too much. So i just decided to bring out some bigger toys and put more elbow grease on it. Finally got it to work using a breaker bar and a crow bar. The problem I found out was that the nut was cross threaded. :banghead:

Find a belt to keep the pulley from moving, then put a long pipe to a socket and try to remove that nut, my suggestion.

This is what worked:
