Anyone install any subs or aftermarket stereo system? I don't believe the Bose system quite cuts the cake. Please post pics, or any other thoughts. Thanks, E.

I'm in the process of designing a pretty comprehensive SQ system for my V.

I know that Tony407 IB with a JL audio sub.

What sort of info are you looking for?

Please see thread that I started a few weeks ago.

It's actually an Image Dynamics IDMAX 10" sub with a JL HD amp.

I can't wait to see what you do with your system. No doubt it will be pretty spectacular.

Sorry about that Tony! I misspoke. You have a very nice combo and very clean install.

Honestly, I'm getting more nervous about the install as it becomes more complicated. The most difficult aspect will be ensuring that no damage is done to the car. Technically speaking, it would be cheaper safer to buy a different car altogether and just do an install in that. At the end of the day, I will not be cutting any metal in the car and anything that get's modified will have to be easily replaceable (A pillars for example). The one thing that is questionable will be the application of dynamat which will make the car more quiet but will certainly add some wait (it should be the quietest V in the world tho ). Even the amp rack will need to be welded in to ensure easy/safe removal at a later date vs. using wood and fiberglass.

When I did the Trans Am years ago, I easily dropped 25k+ into the car but because the install could not be undone, I ended up selling the car for $2500 with everything included because most buyers of the car wanted a race car, not a sound car. This time, utmost care will be paid to protect the integrity of the car as well as my investment.

So, I did get some drivers and will be posting up some picks. These Esotar 2 drivers are stunning! It's like looking at jewelry.
