whats all involved with swaping to a Sanden style compressor on a BB Cad? I understand this or raising the origional compressor 3-4" is needed to clear the Edelbrock intake. I dont think i have to room to raise it either. I need to know what needs to be done so i know how much to save so I can get the intake and the A/C converted to R134a while the A/C is apart.

thanks much,
Ryan

Anybody?Yes, I would be interesting in this, too. Also, what type of Sanden Compressor is required - they have more than one type....?

Thanks,
Andreas

Maximum Torque Specialties (MTS) make brackets for mounting Sanden A/C on 472/500, they have an online catalog at www.500cid.com

I have not tried this swap but would be real interested to know from anyone that has done - my '71 CdV just siezed up the A/C pump so sounds like it's time to rebuild and make room for HIE & Edelbrock manifold...
