I have a 2002 Escalade with 81k miles. I keep getting the service stability system light coming on everytime I come down the mountain near my house. I take it to the dealership and the tell me that there is no code. The service stability system light is on when I take it in. So how is there no code? The reset it and it goes away until I go Down the mountain again. Only on the way down not the way up. Anyone have any suggestions?
There is a module that is interfaced with the brake system I had that problem and once it was changed( to the tune of 600.00 used) the problem has seem to go away. I have driven it off road through mountains pulling a trailer so that would be the place to start and if you think the dealer is pulling your leg any auto store should have an OBD2 reader
i also had this issues and it cost 600 to replace it. sounds like a systemic issue with the model maybe there is a TSB out on it
