Lincoln & Caddy dealers have actual fabric samples and the installers come there & do the job right there. You'd be pretty limited with a purple body to a roof in light beige or white, possibly light grey.

I called the dealer and they said 1500 dollars for a complete vinyl top. I called a top shop and they said something about a kitt.

Their words "we have to see your car first to see if it has a kit for the top. Some of those DeVilles have kits and some dont. If you have a kit it will cost a little over $400.00 but if you dont it will cost $1400.00" .

does that sound right??

hmmmmmm! i am not sure what they mean by a kit. i looked into it with the guy that is going to do the interior and i never did get a price on just the top, but i know it is getting done. they are putting some kind of something like a styrofoam to mold it and cut it so it can be made into a carriage style, then they cover it with the material. so maybe thats what they mean by a kit?????????? but if that's the case they have to mold it anyway to fit the car, so it's not actually a kit ya know!?!?!?!
