Well I think its about time to add a new set of winter tires to my big Caddy, the problem is that I'm having trouble finding the stock tire size as stated on the inner doors which is 235/70R/15
It seems that "70R" is no longer a manufactured size, I can find 75R and sizes smaller then 70, but no 70.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this tire dilemma, what size(s) have worked well for you, I have the stock wheels on the car and plan on keeping it that way.
I found a good deal on 225/75R/15 anyone know what this size is like on these cars?

I currently have 235/70R/16 on it.

Any comments would be appreciated

Look up "The Official Whitewall Thread" on this board. It has info on 235/70/15s.

225/75R/15 is a compatible replacement for the 235/70R/15.

It shouldn't make much difference in handling or ride quality.

Also, there's another thread that I posted, I think "Work is Beginning..." and I had called and got a decent quote on tires for my car. Check that one too. :)

I think that thread "work is beginning" is from about two or three years ago so it may be hard to find. :) Sting, so, we hear work is beginning but what are the results? :) You say you're the matron saint of pictures yet we haven't seen ANY? :) All we hear from you lately is your fascination with Liberace', orange tuxedos, and interest in lavishly over the top pianos. :) What is going on with this poor neglected car of yours? Does your poor car even have any tires??!!?? :) :) :) :)

I'm running Blizzak DM-Z3 snow tires, 235/70/15 for the winter.

Go into your local Pep Boys or Wal Mart. They will have your size. Not in a big name brand, but they are out there...

You can use a 235 75 15 with no problems, btw.

I'll tell you what Dave. I will take pictures tomorrow. I promise. lol

It MAY be able to get a ride to the shop to find out what all is wrong with it, but I also may be a few dollars short of a tow. Cell phone payment is due.

It sucks. lol

You either need a sugar daddy to take care of you or you need to quit making excuses and raise yourself up by your bootstraps and make things happen in your life. :)

Hey hey now, I've been doing good these past few months for a kid with a part-time part-time job. lol

I'm surprised you even have a part time job! :) I'm a full time student with a full time job, cowboy. :) I know you can do it. Quit the excuses and sell yourself like you'd want someone to sell themselves to you if you were considering a bright, enthusiastic, hard working young person like yourself for a job. Make it happen and make your dreams come true! :) :)

Yes, but you have a full-time car. lol

I'm working on it, I am. Spring break will be my time.

Though at that point, I may not even bring the car up with me, because it'd be stupid to only have a parking permit for one month. lol

235/70/R15 is not hard to find, TireRack has like a dozen models itself.

Not hard, but hard to find in a whitewall.

Kelly-Springfield has the only whitewalls in our size that I've been able to confirm as American-made.

^Do you mean the Kelly Navigator Gold (http://www.kellytires.com/cfmx/web/kellytiresel/details.cfm?product=021003&cartireid=265), which isn't advertised as a white wall (http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=135&Cookie=Shopzilla_Kelly&details=Ordern&typ=R-130003&ranzahl=4&nichtweiter=1), but does have one? Or do you mean the Kelly Winter Mark (http://www.kellytires.com/cfmx/web/kellytiresel/details.cfm?product=74001), which isn't advertised as a Kelly, but falls under the Kelly name.

Also made under the Kelly name is Republic. The Republic Enterprise (http://www.tiresbyweb.com/p-7214-republic-enterprise.aspx) comes in 225/70R15 with a white wall.

It's the Navigator Gold. I had to convince the salesman that a whitewall was available.

Thanks for the heads up on the Republic.
