Hello, is this normal i did 5 minutes of hard driving and the trans temp hit 220 is this normal for the V. also where the hell is the dip stick:)

Yes that is normal, You can also stack in another trans cooler to get it to stay in the 190s.. Also running a tune will keep it cooler if you set it up correctly.

wow 220 is not acceptable,,, i am going to need a complete tranny cooler package with instructions ill be first in line to buy it as im sure others will to..

That is about normal for hard driving. No dip stick on the trans as it is a sealed system. We did a tranny cooler for a customer of ours that had some extensive mods. Nice unit that bolts into place without any permanent modifications to the vehicle other than the rubber lines.

I had a similar thread going a while back.

In the end, maybe even offline I don't remember, it was concluded that the tranny at the 220F-230F is just fine. Just change fluid often. You can really even disregard message in cabin.

good info tks.. looks like its very easy and cheap to just add an extra trans cooler inline to the stock one. i opened that differential cooler box there is space for a thin B&M cooler you should have no problem there.. install it under the electric fan :thumbsup:
