I just got home and my brother showed me a lense he found in the driveway.. turns out its my fog light lense.. I know in the past both my mom's 02 and my dad's 03 had an issue with the fog light lense coming out.. they had just ordered replacements.. just wondering if this is that common of a problem and if so if there is a fix.. also will a dealer warranty the fog light even if i have hid's and strobe lights installed in the fogs??
my drivers side is missing the lens as well. Looked for just a replacement lens to no avail.
Is the plexiglass not affected by the heat of the bulb?? seems like it would distort it.... I hope I am wrong and I will be making one tomorrow. Thanks
My driver side was missing when I purchased my Esky.... Bought a new set of TYC aftermarket fog lights brand new off eBay for $90. Figured if one will look new, they both need to. Been 7 months and no issues
I also saw those replacement lens on ebay, it seemed a better bet than the cheapo repro fog lights available. My housing and bulb holder were in perfect shape, really looks like the lens just dropped off. There were no melting or other issues with the plexiglass. I got the OEM bulb in there tho. Maybe a different outcome with a more powerful unit.
Same thing happened to my 02. The drivers side lens recently came off. Luckily for me, it was stuck between the housing and the fender. Can I simply reattach it with silicone glue?
Send it to me .. I will see if the silicone holds up on mines :drink2:
