From my local wrecking yard. Guess the guy didn't know what it was I had in my hand when I asked the price, which he quoted at $5. I had but three singles in my wallet and he didn't want the $2 in quarters I was offering up from the change retainer in the armrest of my Towncar so he settled for the $3.

I can hardly wait till my son comes over again to see if my $3 find solves several electrical gremlins he's having in his 88k mile '97 Catera that I thought was 'a good deal'.

I pay $5 for a whole bunch of stuff for my Catera at the yard. Yea, I have friends that work ther :}~ But that's what junkyards sell stuff like that for.
Good luck fighting gremlins ;)

His gremlins are:

1. Activating front heated seats blows the fuse if the headlights are on.
2. Interior lights are hinky.
3. Oil Pressure & Volt Meter not functioning.

I hope my $3 junkyard find solves just one of these.

OK, so #1 & #2 aren't an issue after replacing the MFM. I think perhaps the connection to the back of gauge cluster for #3 is lose. They are both on the same plug so it's likely the connection is at fault. To be sure the MFM was faulty, we swapped it back out only to have the same first two issues again.
