Purchased 1998 Deville about a month ago. Replaced stock radio w/ cassette w/ JVC KD-HDR20 (base radio/cd player - no amps, etc.). Used axxess GMRC-03 wiring harness adaptor. Works but wouldn't hold presets. Contacted axxess tech support who said this was common w/ Devilles and I'd need to either leave the original radio plugged in somehow or run power cable from one of the fuse boxes.

I don't see an easy way to run a cable from the fuse boxes and can't leave the original radio plugged in. Is there a constant power source I can more easily rtap into that doesn't cut out on start up, etc.?

Thanks much,

Yea you have to or you might loose your chimes and such. Just pull a fuse same power rating and stick the wire on either side and slide the fuse back in. Or you can use your cig charger or the body fuse in ur panel might help or ur hazards. Fuse

With everything off get into your fuse box with a test light and see what one come on, then you can tap into that wire for your power

Or run a wire directly from the battery.
