Hello,
I have a 2005 EXT that has its fan motor running with engine off this morning. I came across the bulletin:
#06-01-39-002C: Blower Motor Inoperative or May Not Shut Off in Extremely Low Ambient Temperature Conditions (Replace Blower Motor Control Module) - (Jan 18, 2008)
Right now, the temperatures are below zero and the truck is past its warranty period a few months back with 18K miles now since I had it new.
I am thinking about getting the part and install the fan control module under the glove box myself.
However, I do not have the instructions of replacing the blower motor control module. The official name from the GM tsb is Blower Motor Control Processor Replacement.
Would you have an experience in replacing the part? For now, I have the 40 amp fuse removed to have the blower off before it drains the battery.
Thanks!
