I'm not throwing $24.95 at alldata, and wasting a pile of money on TSB's that might be generically worded. Does anyone know where I can find a free tsb listing for a 1976 Seville? I am after the following tsb's:

TSB Number: 7929 FEB 79 Engine - Hesitation/Stumble/Exhaust Noise/Spark Knock

TSB Number: 8065 JUN 80 Engine - Stumble/Hesitation/Rough Idle/Backfire

TSB Number 8066 JUN 80 Engine - Momentary Flutter

 or maybe someone knows what the problem is? It stumbles, idles bad, and backfires. I'm going to check the Throttle Position Switch, and all the vacuum lines on the car, plus some other stuff later today.

Now, onto the good stuff :D

My mom is the proud owner of a 1976 Seville, with 66,000 original miles. Aside from the problem above, the clock not working, and the power antenna also not working, it is in pristine shape for it's age!

It is in great shape for it's age, and only needs a little work, then it will be touring all the car shows here in las vegas! :D

It has a super funk 8 track, and I just happen to have some 8 track tapes she can play in it! :lildevil:

You got that right. :coolgleam

I thought I had a site for you, but it doesn't look like it goes back to '76. Check it out for yourself. You can register for free. You get a detailed report on recalls and how the recalled part is fixed. The TSBs are ok, but do not give a fix. I just found the site earlier today, so there may be more info. Here you go:

I thought Alldata gave older TSB's out for free (TSB's before 1990)?

For free...titles only, not a complete TSB.

i cant help you with the free part, but i can tell you the TSB's ive paid for at alldata are in no way generically worded. they are exactly what the dealer gets. that being said, if those particular tsb's dont help you, its money wasted
