well this is my wifes truck and when you have the a/c controls off the a/c compressor is still going on and off, the rear a/c will blow hot or cold air out of it but when you turn the front to on high or low it will not blow anything out.
Before it stoped working it would run all the time, even when it is turned off the air would blow out the vents. No it is not working at all just in the front . What the hell could this be thanks guys... any help is appreciated
Damn I wished I lived in a place where I could use the AC in December! My 99 did the same thing. My AC and heat would sporadically work (blower fan was getting wrong signals I think... mine also would blow when it was in the off position). I ended up giving up on it and selling the truck since it had so many problems..... good luck, sorry I couldn't help
It could be the control panel (the actual part that you touch to turn the AC on) Mine went bad on me in fricken July in 95 degree weather! They're pretty easy to replace, but also pretty delicate. The circuitry is exposed on the circuit boards, which makes the panel easy to short out. If you try swapping it, be sure to keep from allowing anything to touch the circuitry.
Its probably the clutch Fan belt. Mine came off. Once it was put back on... it was blowing ICE cold air.
