I have a 91 deville with Bose Gold Series. I have the squealing and poping thing going on, i heard it was the green caps causing this in the amp or amps. Anyway, where the hell are the amps at?? I tore the whole dash apart looking for them. I only found some info at corvetteradios.com, but i didnt get a location on the amps. This guy thinks i have 4 amps, im not sure where they put all those, but i cant find them. Any help would be appreciated.

The amps are hooked onto the speakers, if im not mistaken......

So am I'm correct in saying that there are no central amps, simply one amp for each Bose speaker on that individual speaker?? I am in the middle of rewiring the car for better speakers and a new deck and would like to know for sure whether there is one central amp in addition to the speaker amps. Thanx

Yeah, its more like a preamp in the tuner and then seperate amps all around.
