Anyone know what bulb is used in the lights under the side mirrors. Anyone changed one of these - I can get the lens clip loose and lower one side of the lens but it doesn't come out - don't want to pry too hard and break something.
On the opposite side take a small screwdriver and stick it in there....there are two tabs just like the one big one but you can't see them.Stick that flatblade in there and it will pop down..small wires in there be careful.
shore, thanks - I could see where the opposite side had two small tabs but wasn't sure if I should pry or not. I figured once the front single tab side was down it would just swing out.
I tried a very powerful blue LED one in mine but it looks odd.I think the lense has to much frost made into it....if it was clearer it might be a better look.I put my stock bulbs back in.
I looked at those Festoon LEDs online today - how do they look compared to the stock bulbs? I use SuperBright's LED DRLs and love them - much better than stock 4114LL bulbs.
nathanjax, thanks for the reply - I want to change my side mirror bulbs and backup lights to LEDs to go with my DRL LEDs. Which Superbrights (part number) did you use for the side mirror courtesy lights?
I believe that cool white/warm white LED replacement would be the way to go. Otherwise I guess it would look unnatural (I don't want to see those bright blue dots sticking out of the mirrors)
